Did you know that when you book a session with Kaleidoscope Photography that you’re helping homeless women and children residing at Chattanooga Room in the Inn?
Chattanooga Room in the Inn (CRITI) is a three to nine month residential program for homeless women and children. Services provided at CRITI are free of charge and include transitional housing, three meals a day, access to affordable or free health care, life skills training, parenting classes, mentoring, assistance with finding affordable housing, and case management services. This program allows the women and their children to find stability and thereby increase their opportunities and chances for independence when they leave the program.
Ten percent of the yearly earnings of Kaleidoscope goes towards buying items from the “needs” list for the residents.
Additionally, Kaleidoscope does FREE sessions for the residents at CRITI. Imagine being a single parent starting COMPLETELY over. You’ve been stripped of everything (car, job, home, etc.) and you’ve feel like you’ve fallen further than you ever have. You have to dig deep….beneath your thick, harden skin to muster the courage, find the hope….to stand back on your feet. The determination to not become a product of your circumstances and FIGHT, to go up against the odds stacked against you. Imagine being that parent. The whole purpose behind me doing these free photo sessions for the women and children currently residing at CRITI is to give them another set of eyes to see themselves with. To see the beauty that WE see, the woman and mother that God made them to be. To boost their confidence, their self-esteem….in a small way, to help fade the scars left by others throughout their lives.
I also get all the photos printed in 8x10s and 1 photo on a 16×20 canvas for FREE for the women. The only way this is possible is by donations from friends and supporters on Facebook and you, my clients! If you’d like to donate, you can do so through PayPal at firstname.lastname@example.org or to me directly. The only way to make this all possible is YOU guys!
